The Asko W5XLT is a current front-load washing machine. At 1400 rpm and a 24.3 lb load, the Steel Seal door and drum on this model outlast the electronics around them -- the door boot gasket and the drain pump are the parts that actually wear out. Problems surface through the F10/F11/F12 family (overfilling, drainage, and inlet problems) shared with Asko's current dishwashers on the W5XLT.

Asko fitted several control panels over the years, so the W5XLT draws its codes from one of five families. On W6000 display boards, F10 is overfilling, F11 a drainage failure and F12 a water-inlet problem — the very numbering the current dishwashers share, which is deliberate platform commonality. The newer PMCU platform behind machines like the W4114C uses an unrelated E-series, E0 through E37. Older numbered-LED panels give F1, F3, F4 and F6; older analog panels blink L1 to L6 with meanings that shift by model; and premium panels drop codes for a plain text label.
