The Asko HID654GC is a current induction cooktop. Day-to-day wear on the HID654GC concentrates on one spot: the induction generator overheating from a blocked vent under the cooktop, rather than a failed coil. That failure, when it triggers a problem on the HID654GC, surfaces through the same F00-F9/FC/F99/FA/FAN table published for the HI1655M generator, unrelated to the E-series hobs elsewhere in the line. Because Asko's US site carries no ovens or hobs at all, any American owner of the HID654GC brought it in directly or inherited it from a specified European build.
The HID654GC is an induction hob, and induction is the only Asko cooking platform that spells its problems out in code — though in two families that never share a number.
