The Asko HI1655G is a current induction cooktop. This induction cooktop's finish (black glass) shows scratches long before the electronics fail; the actual repair is usually a blocked cooling path beneath the glass tripping the generator's over-temperature protection, not a burned-out coil. The HI1655G surfaces problems through an F-prefixed code straight out of the HI1655M generator's own problem table, not the E/Er scheme used on other platforms, never the other family. Ovens and hobs simply are not part of Asko's current US assortment -- the HI1655G, a Australian unit, reaches a stateside kitchen only through an earlier import or a European kitchen specification.
The HI1655G is an induction hob, and induction is the only Asko cooking platform that spells its problems out in code — though in two families that never share a number. Boards in the F-series generation show F00 and F0 through F6, then F7, F8, F9, F99, FA and FAN; E-series boards instead show Er03, E2, E3, E5, E6, U400 and Er47. Confuse the two and the part order is wrong, so identifying the exact model precedes any code lookup. Where a hob is gas rather than induction there are no codes to read — a failed ignition or a lazy flame is worked by symptom — and on induction we rule out a starved cooling path before touching the electronics.
