The Asko HI1631G is a current induction cooktop. On this black glass induction cooktop the recurring service call is the induction generator overheating from a blocked vent under the cooktop, rather than a failed coil. When it does problem, the HI1631G reports it through codes drawn from the HI1655M generator's F-table, never the E/Er set that a different generator platform uses. US buyers cannot order the HI1631G from Asko directly -- it is Australian stock, present here through import channels or a European-spec'd kitchen project.
The HI1631G is an induction hob, and induction is the only Asko cooking platform that spells its problems out in code — though in two families that never share a number. Boards in the F-series generation show F00 and F0 through F6, then F7, F8, F9, F99, FA and FAN; E-series boards instead show Er03, E2, E3, E5, E6, U400 and Er47. Confuse the two and the part order is wrong, so identifying the exact model precedes any code lookup.
