The Asko HID654MC is a current induction cooktop. Day-to-day wear on the HID654MC concentrates on one spot: the generator's over-temperature cutout triggering because airflow under the unit is restricted, rarely a coil failure itself. That failure, when it triggers a problem on the HID654MC, surfaces through the HI1655M generator platform's problem table -- F00 through F9, FC, F99, FA, FAN -- kept separate from the E/Er hobs. Because Asko's US site carries no ovens or hobs at all, any American owner of the HID654MC brought it in directly or inherited it from a specified European build.
Two code families live inside Asko's induction range, and the HID654MC answers to only one of them. The F-series generator posts F00, F0 through F6, F7, F8, F9, F99, FA and FAN; the E-series posts Er03, E2, E3, E5, E6, U400 and Er47; nothing crosses over, so the model is confirmed before a code is trusted. A gas hob has no codes and is judged by ignition and flame behavior, and an induction problem always begins with a ventilation check because the generator is heat-sensitive.
