The Asko HID865MFC is a current induction cooktop. Day-to-day wear on the HID865MFC concentrates on one spot: the generator's over-temperature cutout triggering because airflow under the unit is restricted, rarely a coil failure itself. That failure, when it triggers a problem on the HID865MFC, surfaces through the documented HI1655M F-series set, kept strictly apart from the E/Er codes used on the other Asko induction platform. The HID865MFC comes from Asko's Swedish kitchen range -- not the current US catalog, which lists no ovens or hobs at all -- and any unit we see stateside has arrived through an earlier import or a spec'd European kitchen build.
On the HID865MFC, as on every Asko induction hob, the cooktop is the one cooking appliance that actually publishes decoded error codes — and it does so in two families that share nothing. An F-series generator reports F00, F0 through F6, F7, F8, F9, F99, FA and FAN, while an E-series board reports Er03, E2, E3, E5, E6, U400 and Er47, so the model has to be pinned down before a code is read against the wrong list and the wrong part is ordered. Gas hobs, by contrast, display nothing and are diagnosed by symptom — a burner that sparks but will not light, or a flame that stays weak.
