The Asko HID965GC is a current induction cooktop. This induction cooktop's finish (black glass) shows scratches long before the electronics fail; the actual repair is usually a blocked cooling path beneath the glass tripping the generator's over-temperature protection, not a burned-out coil. The HID965GC surfaces problems through the HI1655M platform's F-series display, which has no codes in common with the E/Er-series hobs in the same range, never the other family. Ovens and hobs simply are not part of Asko's current US assortment -- the HID965GC, a Australian unit, reaches a stateside kitchen only through an earlier import or a European kitchen specification.
Because the HID965GC reaches American kitchens through earlier distribution rather than Asko's current US catalog, getting its diagnosis right matters more, not less. Induction hobs are the exception in the range that publish decoded codes, split across two families with no overlap: F00, F0–F6, F7, F8, F9, F99, FA and FAN on the F-series, and Er03, E2, E3, E5, E6, U400 and Er47 on the E-series. The model settles which list applies before a single code is interpreted. Gas hobs carry no codes and are read from the burner behavior itself, and any induction repair begins by confirming the generator is breathing, since heat is what trips it.
