Built-in only, and undecoded
Asko has never made a countertop or over-the-range microwave; its microwave function lives inside built-in units — the OM microwave-only, the OCM combi with convection, and the OCSM steam-and-microwave oven. When one faults, it shows the identical undecoded ERROR marker the ovens use, with no published meaning behind the digits.
Treat the marker as a prompt
The manual’s only guidance is to cut power, restore it, and call for service if the marker persists, so any web chart that assigns a fault to each number is invented. We read it as a signal to measure, and never as a finished conclusion.
What a technician checks — safely
A microwave that hums without heating usually points at the magnetron, the diode, or the high-voltage capacitor; internal sparking suggests a burnt waveguide cover; a dead unit that will not start often traces to a door-interlock switch. This is not a homeowner job, because the high-voltage capacitor can hold a lethal charge long after the unit is unplugged.
When to call
A repeating marker, a total failure to heat, or any arcing inside the cavity needs an experienced technician with the correct genuine OEM or trusted-supplier part. Review the microwave error codes page or the error-codes library, then book microwave repair.
